The funding is usually granted for at most 2 semesters but can be extended to cover the entire standard study time. The university will review each scholarship holder every 2 semesters to determine if they still meet the criteria. If not, private funding may be made available. Each scholar will be paid EUR 300 per month. EUR 150 is provided by private sponsors, and EUR 150 by Federal Government. The Deutschlandstipendium is awarded irrespective of personal or parent income.

Eligibility:

A scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement. They also need to demonstrate civic engagement and personal achievements. The candidate’s family and social background are also considered. The scholarship is open to both enrolled and beginning students.
